Advising can meet with new transfer students once they have attended Transfer Island View Orientation. Necessary advising will be part of Transfer Island View Orientation and is intended to prepare students to register for their first semester only here at CSUCI.
Transfer Workshop
Advising and Major Advisors will explain degree and major requirements and help prepare students for registration and success at CI.
Persons with varying abilities may request assistance from the Disability Accommodations and Support Services (DASS) at accommodations@csuci.edu at least 7 days prior to your workshop.

How to Prepare for Your First Semester at CSUCI
- If unable to attend the workshop, this is basic information to help you register and prepare for your first semester at CSUCI. Advising recommends students use a combination of their CARR, major advising form from the University Catalog, and degree checklist to understand remaining requirements here at CSUCI. - Note: Individual CARR Reports may not be updated at the time of registration. If you have AP, IB, or CLEP credit, make sure you submit official scores to the Registrar’s Office, and view Transfer Credit Information.
