Eligibility:

Minimum eligibility requirements to participate in Informal & formal recruitment:

  • Currently enrolled as a CSUCI student
  • Must be in good academic (a 2.0 GPA or above both previous semester and cumulative) and conduct standing with the university. [If you are a first-year student, and do not currently have a CSUCI semester GPA, if offered a bid to a sorority or fraternity, your membership is contingent on your GPA being above the requirement, upon completion of this semester.]
  • Have not been initiated into another sorority or fraternity at CSUCI or any other campus
  • Have not received a bid during the most recent formal recruitment and later turned it down/declined membership

Informal Recruitment:

(Closed until after Spring 2024 Formal Recruitment)

Informal recruitment is continuous open bidding.  Continuous Open Bidding (COB) is an informal process that sororities and fraternities use to take in new members. Formal recruitment will occur in Spring 2024. COB is where the chapters of CSUCI hold their own informal events to get to know potential new members better. Each chapter does it differently.
