Cynthia Cuevas is the Administrative Assistant for Disability Accommodations and Support Services (DASS). Cynthia is the point of contact for general DASS questions for students, faculty and campus community members and plays a key role in upholding the Educational Access Center’s welcoming and customer service oriented philosophy. Cynthia supervises our DASS team of student assistants and oversees two vital student services: DASS note taking and alternative testing . Cynthia is an alumni of California State University Channel Islands (CI) and received her bachelor’s degree in biology. Prior to her professional DASS role, Cynthia worked as a DASS student assistant for four years serving as our lead student assistant and a peer mentor for DASS transition and retention programs. Originally from the Ventura County area, she is bilingual in Spanish and English. Cynthia enjoys helping others and also volunteers at the local animal shelter. During her free time, Cynthia enjoys exercising and spending time with family.
