National Taiwan University of Arts, established in 1955, has the longest history of any art institution in Taiwan as well as the most specilized fields of study. A great number of famous directors have graduated from NTUA, including 78th Oscar Award Director Winner Ang Lee. Education at NTUA emphasizes humanistic thinking, creative production, theoretical analysis, and hands-on practice.

Eligibility Requirements

  • 3.0 or above cumulative GPA**
  • Your major OR minor must be one of the following: Studio Art, Art History, 
  • Although CI students do not need to have Chinese language units to be eligible to apply, students who are accepted must take a Chinese Language course at National Taiwan University during their study abroad semester.

**Students with a cumulative GPA below the stated GPA will be considered when special circumstances exist. Please contact the Study Abroad Advisor atinternational@csuci.edu for more info.
