University of Southeast Norway is a state university college established very recently in October of 2015 by merging the former Telemark University College and Buskerud and Vestfold University College. USN has a total of nine different campus' located across Norway and is one of the largest institutions of higher education in the country. The semester program in Norway takes place at the Bø campus. 


Bø is located in Telemark county, about 90 miles east of Oslo. In the northern corner of the world, students can combine their studies with exciting outdoor activities, both in the winter and summer. Students can see the Northern Lights, experience the midnight sun, fjords and mountains. One can go skiiing, water rafting, and climbing, or simply enjoy the clean, fresh air and vast open spaces. Eligibility Requirements

  • 3.0 or above cumulative GPA**
  • Your major OR minor must be one of the following: ESRM or Business
  • Although CI students do not need to have Norwegian language units to be eligible to apply, students who are accepted must take a Norwegian Language course at the Bø Campus during their study abroad semester.

**Students with a cumulative GPA below the stated GPA will be considered when special circumstances exist. Please contact the Study Abroad Advisor at for more info.

  • International CSU Healthlink Coverage (i.e. must be covered for the entire duration of the study abroad program). Your admittance status is dependent on the purchase of the CSU Healthlink Insurance.
