Queer Student Alliance (QSA)

The mission of the Queer Student Alliance of CSU Channel Islands is to enrich student life through outreach, education, and events. Through these activities, it is our goal to provide a safe environment for the students and community members of all sexual orientations, identities, genders, gender expressions, ethnicities, ages, abilities, faiths, belief systems, and cultures. By these efforts, we strive to facilitate a better understanding of the diversity within the Queer community and Queer communities abroad.

The Brown Boi Project

The Brown Boi Project is a community of masculine of center womyn, men, two-spirit people, transmen, and our allies committed to changing the way that communities of color talk about gender.

Diversity Collective

Diversity Collective Ventura County is a community based non profit 501c3 organization. Promoting advocacy, education, and mental and physical health for the LGBTQ community in Ventura County, California via our community resource center, programs and community events. We are the parent organization of Ventura County Pride, AIDS Walk Ventura and The Diversity Gala. All proceeds raised through fundraising efforts go to fund DCVC and it’s community programs.

Our mission is to create safe and affirming schools for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.

LGBT+FSA at CSUCI

To provide for solidarity and fellowship in the community of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, plus (LGBT+) academics, administrators, staff and their allies at California State University Channel Islands (CI), and recognizing the historical significance of the term “LGBT+” in reference to the self-concept and social justice efforts of LGBT+ people and their allies, it has been deemed appropriate to secure for ourselves an organization that exists to promote the awareness of the needs of its members, and to advance the interests of faculty, staff, and students who are LGBT+. A network of LGBT+ identifying faculty and staff across campus who come together for organized events. This group is designed to provide a safe and supportive atmosphere for faculty and staff who identify somewhere on the LGBT+ spectrum.

Los Angeles LGBT Center

Since 1969 the Los Angeles LGBT Center has cared for, championed, and celebrated LGBT individuals and families in Los Angeles and beyond. Today the Center’s more than 600 employees provide services for more LGBT people than any other organization in the world, offering programs, services, and global advocacy that span four broad categories: Health, Social Services and Housing, Culture and Education, Leadership and Advocacy.

oSTEM

Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (oSTEM), Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional association for LGBTQ+ people in the STEM community.  oSTEM empowers LGBTQ+ people in STEM to succeed personally, academically, and professionally by cultivating environments and communities that nurture innovation, leadership, and advocacy. 

PFlag

Uniting people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) with families, friends, and allies, PFLAG is committed to advancing equality through its mission of support, education, and advocacy. PFLAG has 400 chapters and 200,000 supporters crossing multiple generations of American families in major urban centers, small cities, and rural areas in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. This vast grassroots network is cultivated, resourced, and serviced by PFLAG National, located in Washington, D.C., the National Board of Directors and 13 volunteer Regional Directors.

Rainbow Umbrella

Rainbow Umbrella (RU) is a positive, safe and welcoming space, free of drugs and alcohol. RU is an activities based program that provides support and empowerment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer and questioning (LGBTIQQ) youth ages 13 to 23 and their allies. RU meets every Friday from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. All youth are welcome. Free and confidential.

Sylvia Rivera Law Project

The Sylvia Rivera Law Project works to guarantee that all people are free to self-determine gender identity and expression, regardless of income or race, and without facing harassment, discrimination or violence.

Trans Student Educational Resources

Trans Student Educational Resources is a youth-led organization dedicated to transforming the educational environment for trans and gender nonconforming students through advocacy and empowerment. In addition to our focus on creating a more trans-friendly education system, our mission is to educate the public and teach trans activists how to be effective organizers. We believe that justice for trans and gender nonconforming youth is contingent on an intersectional framework of activism. Ending oppression is a long-term process that can only be achieved through collaborative action.
