It is important to note that the self-attestation process is immediately available to non-represented and Confidential employees, and members of CSUEU, Teamsters, and CFA employee unions. Other bargaining units are still going through the meet-and-confer process with the Chancellor's Office to reach an agreement. When that process is complete, members of those bargaining units will receive an email communication with a link to the self-attestation form. Paper forms will also be available in the Human Resources office. (updated 7/9/2021)

MPP & Confidential Employees

Human Resources (HR) is providing additional information to MPPs and Confidential Employees on self-attestation of vaccination status in compliance with the Cal/OSHA Emergency Temporary Standards.  In brief, these revised standards:

  1. Remove almost all requirements for barriers and physical distancing;
  2. Eliminate reduced capacity limits;
  3. Make mask-wearing optional for fully vaccinated employees who comply with Cal/OSHA’s requirement to verify vaccination status; and
  4. Require mask-wearing for employees who are not vaccinated or do not have an attestation on file.

Please review the Cal/OSHA FAQs for further details.

All CSUCI employees who attest to being fully vaccinated will not be required to wear a face covering/mask anywhere on campus, though of course they will be free to do so if they choose. This self-attestation process is currently available to MPPs and Confidential employees.  You may complete the self-certification via the e-mail that was sent to MPP and Confidential employees on Friday, July 2, 2021. The information will be received by the Designated Office on campus, Human Resources, with a copy to the appropriate administrator.

Regardless of vaccination status, no employee is required under the MOU to complete a self-attestation form. Those who do not complete a self-attestation form will be considered unvaccinated under the ETS and will be required to wear a mask indoors, unless in a room or vehicle alone, and except when eating or drinking. In addition, it is recommended that unvaccinated individuals continue to wear a mask outdoors, especially in circumstances when physical distancing cannot be maintained.

Employees who would like to request a face covering/mask may obtain one from Public Safety or the Facilities Work Center. If an employee requires an accommodation or exemption for the mask requirement, please contact Human Resources.
