Dear Students:

The Fall semester is quickly approaching, and we are excited to welcome you to the campus!  I wanted to provide a reminder that we have scheduled some additional student Town Hall meetings to provide updates and answer questions as we continue to prepare for your return. Please click on a date below to register for one or both of the Town Halls:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 3 at 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, Aug. 5 at 5 p.m.

The University encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing any kind of accommodation, or have questions about access, please contact the Disability Accommodations & Support Services office as soon as possible at:

Additionally, Rite Aid will continue to partner with CSUCI and provide free Pfizer vaccinations for members of our campus community and University Glen residents. Advance registration is encouraged but walk-ins will be accommodated as appointment times allow. Please visit COVID-19 vaccines to view available vaccination dates and to schedule an appointment. The COVID-19 vaccines are safe, effective and 100% free for everyone 12 years and older. Learn more about why the vaccine is one of our most powerful tools to ending the pandemic by visiting for COVID-19 facts.

Other campus communication will be forthcoming soon, but please take a moment to visit the Fall 2021 Semester webpages that include updates for COVID-19 Vaccine Information & Certification, FAQs, Welcome Activities, Campus Services & Resources, Campus Communication, Campus Cases & Reporting COVID-19, and the recently updated goCI app.

In the meantime, please continue to communicate with the Dean of Students office and your questions will be directed to the appropriate area for a response.

Richard Yao, Ph.D.
Interim President
