Dear Faculty, Staff, and Student Employees:

Please find below updated data regarding our confirmed positive on campus cases, verifications of vaccination status, and information/resources available to you. We will continue to consult with Ventura County Public Health to assess safety protocols and/or updates to the campus community.

Positive Cases and Contact Tracing
Sept 14 to 20:

  • 4 confirmed positive on campus cases (3 students; 1 employee)
  • Contact tracing efforts have revealed no evidence of spread resulting from classroom-involved exposures
  • Since the Fall semester began, a total of 24 confirmed positive on campus cases (21 students, 3 employees)

Please remember to immediately file a reportif you or someone you know may be COVID positive.

Verification of Vaccination Status
Students: (as of Sept. 20)

  • 87% of all enrolled students and 92% of students taking at least one class in-person have certified vaccination status and provided required documentation.
  • 3% of students who have submitted their certification requesting a religious or medical exemption; 2.4% have completed certification with supporting documents.

Employees: (as of Sept. 20)

  • 97% of employees have verified their vaccination status. (28 employees have not yet verified their vaccination status.*)
  • 5% of employees have requested a medical or religious exemption. (28 employees have a medical or religious exemption with weekly testing required.)

*This number excludes student assistants who are being accounted for through their student requirement.
