Dear Faculty, Staff and Student Employees:

Please find below updated data regarding our confirmed positive on campus cases, verifications of vaccination status, and information/resources available to you. We will continue to consult with Ventura County Public Health to assess safety protocols and/or updates to the campus community.

Positive Cases and Contact Tracing
Nov. 21 to 29:

  • 6 confirmed positive on campus cases
  • Contact tracing efforts have revealed no evidence of spread resulting from classroom-involved exposures
  • Since the Fall semester began, a total of 50 confirmed positive on campus cases (45 students, 5 employees)

Please remember to immediately file a reportif you or someone you know may be COVID positive.

As an additional reminder, testing after the recent holiday weekend is highly recommended regardless of vaccination status for all housing students, in-person students, faculty, and staff. Testing is free and is available as noted below:

Register for an appointment at Petite Salon 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for:

  • Nov. 30
  • Dec 1, 2, & 3

Verification of Vaccination Status
Students*: (as of Nov. 29)

  • 96.4% of all enrolled students and 99% of students taking at least one class in-person have certified vaccination status and provided required documentation; of those certified 89.9% are vaccinated
  • 4% of students have submitted certification requesting a religious or medical exemption; 3.9% have completed certification with supporting documents

*Percentages may adjust due to slight enrollment fluctuations and students who are working to provide accurate/qualified documentation.

Employees*: (as of Nov. 29)

  • 99.4% of employees have verified their vaccination status
  • 4.7% of employees have requested a medical or religious exemption

*Due to ongoing fluctuation of new employees hired or departures, percentages are provided based on the current total number of employees.
