We encourage all members of our campus community to maintain healthy habits and curb the spread of illness in our community.

Were you exposed to someone with COVID-19?

If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, you should follow the steps outlined below, depending on your vaccination status.

Individuals who have had a known exposure to someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19:

  • People who are fully vaccinated:  Quarantine is only required if COVID-19 symptoms develop or the exposed person tests positive for COVID-19.
      • DO:
        • Report the case to the COVID Cases web page 
        • Get tested 3-5 days after last exposure
        • Monitor symptoms each day for 14 days from last exposure
        • Wear a mask while around others
        • Do not come onto campus if you are feeling ill or symptomatic
  • People who are not fully vaccinated are required to quarantine for a minimum of 10 days from last exposure.
      • DO:
        • Report the case to the COVID Cases web page 
        • Quarantine
        • Get tested immediately after exposure is identified, and, if negative, tested again in 5–7 days after last exposure
        • Monitor symptoms for 14 days from last exposure
        • Wear a mask while around others
  • Quarantine requires that an individual remain in their residence except for doctor’s appointments.  Do not come to campus, go to work, attend classes, or come into any campus buildings other buildings

Individuals who have known exposure to COVID-19 should NOT come into the on-campus testing clinic.  On-campus testing can be arranged by contacting healthycsuci@csuci.edu to minimize interaction with others in the clinic.
