Dear CSUCI Dolphins:

As recently announced by the County of Ventura, beginning March 15 and depending on vaccine supplies, individuals who are 16-64 years of age who are deemed to be at high risk with severe health conditions, will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. As a reminder, each California county may be in a different sector of a Phase for COVID-19 vaccinations based on their population, vaccine allocation, resources, etc.

Rigorous testing and analyses have shown the currently available vaccines are about 95% effective in protecting recipients from contracting COVID-19. Learn more about the benefits of the vaccine by visiting the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.  We encourage you to consult with your physician or healthcare provider about vaccine options as they pertain to your health.

Weekly vaccine appointments are made available every Monday and can be scheduled by visiting your county of residence website listed below:

Ventura County COVID-19 Vaccination
Santa Barbara County COVID-19 Vaccination
Los Angeles County COVID-19 Vaccination
California ALL Vaccine Information

If vaccine appointments are not currently available at the county websites, you may also check with your healthcare provider or local pharmacies such as Rite Aid, Walgreens, Albertsons or Vons.

At this time, CSU is not requiring all employees and students to receive a COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of employment or enrollment. Consistent with our objective of providing a safe and healthy environment, CSU continues to review the extent to which vaccinations, negative tests, or other measures may be conditions for physically working at or attending classes on campus, or living in the residence halls.

We encourage you to continue to visit our Spring 2021 Semester website regularly for additional information and FAQs related to the ongoing pandemic, campus operations, as well as how to report a COVID-19 case for someone who has been physically on the campus.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and additional updates will be provided to the campus community as information becomes available. Thank you.
