New Student Orientation (NSO) supports University recruitment and retention initiatives by coordinating events, activities and services that integrate new students holistically (socially and academically) into the CI community.

Island View Orientation

An Award-Winning Program!

The 2011- 2012 Orientation Leaders received the “Outstanding Program” Award at the CI Student Leadership Awards.

In 2013, Island View Orientation won the “Innovative Program of the Year” Award from the National Orientation Directors Association, Region II.

Island View Orientation is a comprehensive introduction to the University that prepares new students by providing information on academic and social resources.

Orientation is an exciting time on any college campus and serving as an Orientation Leader is a unique and rewarding opportunity.
