Each day during March is STEAM Month, the Virtual CSUCI Science Carnival to be held in March 2021 will showcase engaging and dynamic hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) videos paired with mentoring and/or college-going knowledge videos. We are currently recruiting partners who would be interested in joining this virtual event by providing a video of a hands-on STEAM activity geared for students in K-8th grades. You will also have the option of providing a video of a STEM professional mentor, ideally from an underrepresented group in STEM, to include along with your hands-on STEM video. Please complete a brief survey indicating your interest in committing to participate in this event by September 12.

We invite you to join us in this exciting new endeavor with the goal of reaching an even greater number of students and supporting their STEAM learning through this virtual event. As a partner, you will help us support the STEAM learning of K-8th grade students through this virtual event and you will gain national visibility through our social media campaign to reach K-8th grade students, teachers, and parents not just in Ventura County but also across the U.S.

If you are interested in partnering on this event, please email Sandy Birmingham (Sandra.Birmingham@csuci.edu) indicating your interest. We will be accepting March is STEAM Month partners on a first-come basis; slots are limited.

Resources:

Informational Webinar: A recording was made of the August 31, 2020 Information Session (audio-only recording) for the Virtual CSUCI Science Carnival in case a representative of your organization was unable to attend. The Powerpoint presentation is also available for download.

Following are resources that you can consider using if you want to record your own interview.
