Q: Where are the Lactation Stations located on campus?
A:
Lactation Stationsare located in the Broome Library 2366, El Dorado Hall 153, Madera Hall 1411, Sierra Hall 3304, Trinity Hall 1568.

Q: Where can I request to use the Lactation Stations?
A:
Lactation Stations can be used on a first-come, first-served basis. If the room is locked, then it is probably in use. Lactation Stations cannot be reserved at this time.

Q: Who is eligible to use the campus Lactation Stations?
A:
Students, employees, and guests who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Q: How do I arrange for in class breast feeding/lactation accommodations?
A:
It is encouraged that requests for reasonable accommodations be discussed with professors if those breaks are during class first. If additional accommodations are needed please reach out to DASS-Disability Accomodation and Support Services.

As a general matter, a student may also choose to breastfeed during class so long as it has been determined that it is safe for the student to do so while participating in the course. Students who breastfeed during class are subject to the same expectations of all other members of the class with respect to preventing disruptions to the learning environment

Q: What accommodations are provided to CSUCI employees?
A:
Employees must request and arrange appropriate break times with their supervisor.

Supervisors must provide flexibility as reasonably as possible to accommodate the employee’s request and are encouraged to discuss those accommodations with Human Resources. Supervisors are required to provide a reasonable amount of breaks, as long as the work needs can be efficiently and effectively met.
