Education and Training

CSUCI Title IX & Inclusion provides training and consultation for departments, offices, teams, student organizations, and other groups at CSUCI  composed of students or those who work closely with our students.

Topics include:

  • Being a Responsible Employee
  • CSUCI ’s resources related to sexual harassment and other sexual misconduct
  • Title IX compliance and related policies
  • And more!

Student Engagement

If you’re passionate about promoting gender equity and ensuring a safe and inclusive campus environment, we invite you to e-mail our office to express interest in our upcoming Title IX Student Ambassadors Program. This interest does not create a commitment, but will secure you a calendar invite to an interest meeting with more information about getting involved and making a positive impact in our community.

Campus Partnerships and Initiatives

Title IX and Inclusion is not an island, and operates within a diverse network of partnerships that span across campus. Depending on the needs of any individual case, the office provides support to and consults with other departments and programs, including but not limited to: Employee Relations; Faculty Affairs; Student Conduct; Disability Accommodation and Support Services; Counseling and Psychological Services; and the CARE Team. Furthermore, as Title IX Coordinator and DHR Administrator, the Executive Director is a member of CSUCI ’s Behavioral Intervention Team, an interdisciplinary team of experts which meets regularly to assess prospective threats on campus and sensitive cases.

Title IX and Inclusion contributes to multiple initiatives on campus, including but not limited to: the President’s Advisory Council on Inclusive Excellence; the President’s Planning and Policy Council; the Campus Climate Survey Committee, the Accessible Technology Initiative Steering Committee; and the Preparedness Working Group. As the University’s ADA Coordinator, the Executive Director also chairs the University’s ADA Advisory Committee.

Through these partnerships and initiatives, Title IX and Inclusion promotes compliance throughout the campus, while striving to build a community of care, focused around the pillars of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and access.
