Celebrate Mathematics Awareness Month
Join in CI’s celebration for Mathematics Awareness Month! This year’s theme echoes the title of a 1956 book by renowned math popularizer Martin Gardner. The year 2014 marks the centennial of Gardner’s birth. Various activities are scheduled and are listed below:
Math Art Exhibit (April 3 - April 30)
Create your own math explosion of color and creativity in two (or three!) dimensions! Entries for judging must be in place by April 29, 5 p.m. Entry forms are available at El Dorado Hall Information Desk. Acceptable dimensions: 2-D: Not to exceed 3 feet x 4 feet (portrait or landscape orientation). 3-D: Not to exceed 25 lbs.

A short lecture on mathematical concepts in the movies will accompany each viewing.
