Flu Vaccine Clinic- Nov. 20

Student Health Services (SHS) has flu vaccines available for all faculty, staff and currently enrolled students. Vaccines for students are no cost; faculty and staff are $2 (exact change please). This additional clinic will be held in the Bell Tower East Mission Lounge on Thursday, Nov. 20 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. For full details, see the flyer (PDF).

Who should not be vaccinated:

  • People who have a severe allergy to chicken eggs
  • People who have had a severe reaction to an influenza vaccination in the past
  • People who developed Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) within 6 weeks of getting an influenza vaccine previously
  • Children less than 6 months of age (influenza vaccine is not approved for use in this age group)
  • People who have a moderate or severe illness with a fever should wait to get vaccinated until their symptoms lessen

Credential and Graduate Writing Support – Nov. 22

Writers Block? Struggling to get started? Too many distractions? The Graduate Writing Studio has created this workshop (PDF) to help students establish and sustain a regular writing routine. Students will have the opportunity to work on research papers, proposals, thesis writing, or course papers. Access to a Graduate Writing Instructor for questions, support and feedback will be available.

Free parking and coffee will be available for students who attend this workshop.

Student Housing Groundbreaking Ceremony- Nov. 24

The CI community is invited to attend the official start of an exciting project. The Santa Rosa Village groundbreaking ceremony will be held Monday, Nov. 24 at 11 a.m. on the lawn adjacent to Santa Paula Street on the southern end of campus. Please RSVP at http://go.csuci.edu/srgb.
