Network Upgrade Update

CI’s network upgrade is over 85% complete and on schedule. The current schedule and real-time updates can be viewed here.

Any remaining issues encountered after a building has been migrated should be reported to the IT Solution Center. Users who submit a ticket related to upgrade issues are asked to note that for a higher priority response. Any ongoing issues will be addressed in the coming weeks.

Mission Centers Award Nominations due March 27

The Mission Centers Awards are granted yearly to students at Honors Convocation who best exemplify one or all of the key pillars of the University mission through academic activity, and/or co-curricular activity while a student at CI.

The centers for Community Engagement, Integrative Studies, International Affairs, and Multicultural Engagement invite you nominate graduating seniors by March 27 at http://go.csuci.edu/MBCSA. Please submit an application along with supporting documentation. All members of the CI community may nominate students. Students may also nominate other students who exemplify the mission pillars with a required letter of recommendation from a CI faculty member.

CI Corporate Games (CICG) Team Update

Bring your family, friends and neighbors to the City of Ventura Corporate Games Opening Ceremonies to be held on Saturday, March 28 at Ventura Community Park, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cheer for CI during Office Olympics, Cornhole Qualifier and Run/Walk/Jog competitions. Opening Ceremonies participants will receive information regarding t-shirt distribution. Shuttles will also be available every 15 minutes from the County Government Center to Ventura Community Park. Event Updates: Male and Females players are still needed for the following events:

  • 9-ball Billiards (M or F)
  • Coed Softball (4M, 5F)
  • Dodgeball (3M, 2F)
  • Flag Football (2M or F)
  • Horseshoes (1M)
  • Paintball (5+ M&F)
  • Sandsculpture (3+ M&F)
  • Table Tennis (2 M&F)
  • Tug-O-War (3 M&F)

Community Service, a Spirit Award event, will provide opportunities for CI participants to get involved with a Cornucopia Work Party on Saturday, April 11 from 9 to 11 a.m., register to participate. Additional Community Service opportunities are also available.

Distribution of t-shirts for all CI Corporate Games participants is scheduled for Friday, April 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Solano Hall, second floor, round-table area. All waivers must be signed in order to receive a t-shirt and CI spirit swag.
