A history of innovation.

Student-centered. Innovative. Creative. Since opening our doors in 2002, that’s the kind of education we’ve aimed to provide at California State University Channel Islands (CI).

Total Enrollment: 5,080 (as of fall 2014)
Undergraduate students: 4,881
Graduate & Post-Bac students: 199
Females: 3,276
Males: 1,804

Majors: 23
Minors: 26

Our history reflects we were destined to be a campus of innovation. As the youngest of the 23 CSU campuses, CI has an energy and vibrancy that’s felt everywhere on campus. From the start, we’ve offered integrative courses and programs that emphasize real-world experiences and service learning.

We may not be old but we value tradition, as evidenced by our commencement ceremony.

CI received accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
