Faculty Mini-Grants 

During the 2007-2013 period, CIS has awarded academic year or summer mini-grants ranging from $250 to $2000 each to support interdisciplinary activity on campus. Funded activities include several speaker series, grant proposal writing, course development, research article presentation, art exhibits and field trips.  

2013 CIS Mini-grant Award Winners

 Ahmed Awed: publication of the study in synthesizing a new nucleoside analogs as a therapeutic agents for treatment of viral infections and cancer biology.

La Sonya Davis and Monica Pereira: recognition of the contributions of multicultural nurses through art.

Rachel Jordan Fleming: supporting the efforts to secure the funding for the CI Composition Program's Service Learning course on Santa Rosa Island.

Sofia Samatar: a grant writing proposal to fund writing about the personal experiences of a Mennonite of color and Mennonite missionary activities.
