CI Scholarships Application will open November 1st for the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 award year.
The CI University Scholarship Program
CSU Channel Islands is pleased to offer a wide variety of scholarships through the Scholarship Office, academic departments and various organizations. We are proud to honor the academic talents of our students and promote their future success.The CI University Scholarship Application for students planning to enroll this coming fall for the 2012-2013 award year is available from November 1 to February 10. Scholarship Program Application Procedures Include:
- An online application.
- Two letters of recommendation submitted directly to the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office. Letters must be signed.
- Current high school seniors and new transfer students must have most recent grade transcript submitted to the admission office.
- Complete application submitted by the deadline.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be an Undergraduate and Credential Student.
- Must be enrolled full-time for the fall 2012 and Spring 2013 semesters.
- Resident of California with a 3.00 or higher GPA (as calculated for CSU admission).
- Two recommendation letters must be submitted at the time of application to be considered.

President’s Scholars Program
This prestigious program provides a foundation for high-achieving students to develop
and attain their potential for success as scholars, leaders and community members.
This is more than just a scholarship, this opportunity is exceeding expectations.
Applications for the President’s Scholars Program for the 2012-2013 academic year are accepted November 1 to February 10 for the subsequent

Eligibility Criteria:
- Incoming freshman.
- Resident of California with a 3.75 GPA (as calculated for CSU admission).
- Minimum score of 1200 on the SAT-I (combined critical reading and math portions of the exam) or 26 on the ACT tests.
- All transcripts, test scores and two recommendation letters must be submitted at the time of application to be considered. The scholarship may be renewed up to four years if all requirements are met. Only one scholarship application is required. To apply, please click here.
CSU Edison Transfer Scholarship Program
The CSU/Edison Scholars Program has been established by a partner between five California State University campuses and Edison International. The purpose of this scholarship is to increase the number of low income and first generation transfer students earning degrees in technical fields. These funds will provide scholarships to community college students who transfer to one of five CSU institutions.
Students must have declared one of the following majors: mathematics, physics, chemistry, ecological biology, technology, or computer science/information systems. CSU Systemwide Scholarships
The California State University Foundation works with donors interested in funding scholarship opportunities on a system wide basis. Currently, the CSU Foundation administers over $5 million in annual and endowed scholarships. Click here to find out more about programs and eligibility requirements.
Community Scholarships
There are many individuals and agencies in Ventura County that offer scholarships. Counselors at local high schools and community colleges are an excellent source of information and guidance regarding these scholarships. AB540 Scholarships (California Non–Resident Tuition Exempt)
Immigrant students in the U.S. who do not have a valid social security number do not qualify for any state or federal financial aid. AB540 does not provide financial aid to immigrant students, however, all are encouraged to apply for private scholarships to assist in funding the cost of your education. Scholarships do not have to be repaid and are funded from a variety of community organizations, local and national foundations, private donors and state and federal government agencies.Please visit these external sites for additional information:

If you are the recipient of the Governor’s Scholarshare Award:
Claim your award and complete a Qualified Withdrawal Form at the Governor's Scholarship Program.Make checks payable to:

Be advised that it may take 6-8 weeks for the University to receive the check once you have completed the withdrawal form.
