Invest in Student Success

When you invest in student success, you are making a commitment not only to education, but also to the future of our communities, region, state and our world. Thanks to the generous support of donors like you, CSU Channel Islands has been able to admit and graduate a significant number of students who are the first in their families to attend a four-year university (24% of freshman and 25% of transfer students).

For many of these students and others in need, donor established scholarships play a vital role in their success. Here are just a few of their stories:

Gabriel Guillen

Gabriel Guillen, BS Nursing, Alumnus

"With the support of the Margaret Garlock Scholarship for Nursing, I achieved my academic goals and, with my degree, I hope to make a difference for others in a way as meaningful as Ms. Garlock has for me."

Sarah Dreese, Psychology Major

"I will be the first in my family to graduate from college. The Airborne Technologies scholarship has allowed me to continue my studies and continue on a path to earn my degree."

Cassidy Aldof

Cassidy Aldof, Education and Biology Major

"Thanks to the Basile Scholarship, I am the first in my family to attend college. I hope to earn a double major in Education and Biology so that I can teach others like me looking to enter into the STEM disciplines."
