Institutional Research to host workshopsNov. 6, 2023 – The Institutional Research office at CSUCI aims to share the story of our campus community through real-world data and analyses. Using a variety of different tools, they collect and analyze data from students throughout their time at CSUCI to help the campus make well-informed decisions.

Three upcoming workshops will provide a look into the current student experience at CSUCI and what our graduates are up to post-graduation. See below for detail on each workshop. All workshops will be held in Madera Hall 1900.

  • Nov. 7, 10 to 11 a.m.: Who Are Our Students & How Are They Doing? A Review of Enrollment, Retention, and Graduation with Kristin Jordan
Who are our current students? Are we retaining some student groups better than others?  How far do we still need to go to meet our GI 2025 graduation rate goals?  Using the Program Review dashboard (which is useful for far more than just program review), participants will learn to explore student demographics and outcomes from at the academic program or college level, or for the university as a whole.

  • Nov. 14, 3 to 4 p.m.: Reflecting Back and Looking Forward: Results from the Graduating Student Survey with Paul Peterson
Using the Graduating Student Survey dashboard, participants will learn what our students expect to do after graduation and the experiences they had at CSUCI that influenced these plans.

  • Nov. 28, 10 to 11 a.m.: Post-graduate Employment and Degrees with Paul Peterson
What do we know about our students once they graduate? Using the Alumni Employment Outcomes and the Post Graduation Degrees Awarded dashboards, participants will learn to explore what kinds of jobs our students are getting after graduation and what post-graduate degrees they are earning.
