California State University Channel Islands

The California State University Channel Islands Site Development Act of 1998 was approved by the Governor on September 25, 1998, and filed with the Secretary of State on September 28, 1998. Senate Bill 1923 enacted the California State University Channel Islands Site Authority Act, pursuant to which the California State University Channel Islands Site Authority was created to provide for the financing and support of the transition of the site for use as a campus of the California State University. It is comprised of a Board composed of representatives of the Trustees of the California State University and the County of Ventura, and sets forth the authority and duties of the Board and the authority in developing the site.
