New Students

Activate your Dolphin account: do this first, if you haven’t done it already. Once your account is enabled, you can login to myCI to access CI Records (for your class schedule & grades), CI Learn (for your classes) and Dolphin Email.

Get free campus wireless internet access:configure your laptop or mobile device to access campus wireless. You can also configure your gaming console to access the network.

Access your Dolphin Email: just logon to myCI and you can send and receive email to your students & instructors.

Get to know myCI: it’s your one-stop shop to access your technology services, including CI Learn (for your classes), CI Records (for class registration & grades), Dolphin Email, Dolphin Files (for accessing your files from home) and much more. Login to myCI now.

Find computer labs: there are two open computer labs in Broome Library, where you can use popular software and print documents. Learn more about the labs, lab hours, how to logon in labs, and printing in labs.

Get help with your computer: if you need help with your computer or campus software, bring it in to the Help Desk in Broome Library 1340. Our knowledgeable Help Desk team is happy to help!

Reset your Dolphin password: You can reset your Dolphin password here.

Update your emergency contact info in myCI: Login to myCI and update your CI Alert settings, to ensure that you receive the latest emergency messages from the University.

Contact other students: you can find email addresses of other students in the Campus Directory. You can also opt-out of the directory in myCI (in the My Apps tab).

Learn how to use popular softwareSelf-paced training to help you learn Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SPSS and other popular software titles is available through Atomic Learning and Lynda.com via myCI

New Faculty

Get your Dolphin Name and Dolphin ID Number: Once you’re hired, Human Resources or Faculty Affairs will provide you with your Dolphin Name and Dolphin ID Number.

Activate your Dolphin Account:
you must activate your Dolphin Account before you can use it to access myCI and other IT systems at the University.

Get free campus wireless internet access: Learn how to set up your device for wireless internet. Guests can get free wireless access as well.

Get to know myCI: myCI is your one-stop shop for access to technology services, including CI Learn (to manage course content),  CI Records  (for rosters & grades),  your CI email accountDolphin Files (for accessing your files from home) and much more. Login to myCI now

Access your employee “@csuci.edu” email: just logon to myCI to access your mailbox. Learn more about employee email here.

Access CI Learn, CI’s learning management system: you can use CI Learn to post assignments, conduct quizzes, and interact with your students. Just logon to myCI to access your course sections in CI Learn.

See what classroom technology is available: Many classrooms have built-in computers video projectors, and DVD players. Learn more about available classroom technology, and contact the Help Desk with any technology questions.

Sign up for a workshop: Academic Technology Services offers a number of technology workshops throughout the year in topics ranging from Microsoft Word to creating Web pages. Sign up for a workshop today. Self-paced training options are also available through Atomic Learning and Lynda.com.
