My name is Jessy Cruz, Associate Director of Recruitment and Admissions Counselor at CSU Channel Islands (CSUCI). I am a Los Angeles native, and I have worked in education for the past nine years. I am a community college transfer student and product of the CSU System. I have since worked with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), three community colleges in various roles, and in now three departments here at CSUCI. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my two kids, Damian, and Alice, and my wife, Shanny. I also enjoy reading, cycling, running, hiking, participating in the Los Angeles Marathon yearly, and trying great places to eat with my family.

I visit high schools and community colleges in Los Angeles County.

Hello, my name is Jeanette Monzon, Admissions Counselor at California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI). I was raised in Garden Grove, CA about 20 minutes away from Disneyland and attended Pacifica High School. I am a recent CSUCI graduate and earned my B.A. in Spanish and B.A. in Chicana/o Studies all in 4 years! During my time as a CSUCI student I took part in founding Sigma Omega Nu, the first national Latina sorority on campus. Outside of work I enjoy going to concerts, love being at Disneyland and doing anything Disney related.

Greetings, I am Brittany Hong, Admissions Counselor at California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI). I am a Ventura County native and an alum of Rio Mesa High School and Oxnard College. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and was a member of the Women’s Soccer team at the University of Tampa in Florida. I have been honored to mentor students in achieving their goals for college, career and life. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach with my husband, Eddie, and our dog, Divot. If I am not there, you can find me running marathons and cheering on our professional soccer teams, LAFC and Angel City FC.

I visit Community Colleges in the San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.

Hello, my name is Mandavi Chattopadhyay, Admissions Counselor at California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI). I was born in India and have lived all over the world. I have lived in Thousand Oaks, California for the last 16 years. I have a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from North Bengal University, India, and a Master of Science degree in Counseling and College Student Personnel from California Lutheran University. I am passionate about empowering students to reach their full potential. In my free time I like to hike, read books and travel.

Hello, my name is Kobe Holguin, Regional Admissions Counselor at California State University of Channel Islands (CSUCI). My roots trace back to Orange County as I was raised in La Habra and attended La Habra High School. I am a recent graduate of CSUCI where I obtained my B.S. in Health Science with a minor in Psychology. During my undergraduate studies, I was a member of EOP (Educational Opportunity Program) and look forward to providing support to students and first-generation college students like myself. In my free time, you can find me on X2 at Six Flags, walking my pugs, or playing video games.
