Next Steps for Fall 2024 Admitted Transfers

1. Celebrate the moment and post a selfie using #FutureDolphin on Instagram.

2. Stay on Track!

Your admission is provisional, or conditional upon successful completion of all admission requirements. Please regularly check your email, the one you used when completing the online Cal State Apply application, for important messages from the University.

3. Accept your offer of provisional admission by the extended deadline of June 1,  2024, at 11:59 p.m. (for all non-impacted majors).

Transfers admitted into the Nursing program will need to complete this step by the extended deadline of May 15, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Our offer of provisional admission will be withdrawn if all of the steps in the admission process are not completed, as described below, by the deadline.

  • To accept your offer of provisional admission, start by logging into your myCI and click on “CI Records.” Your login information was sent to the email address you provided on your application.
  • Once logged in, scroll down to the bottom of the page (under “Admissions”) and “Accept” or “Decline” admission; then, follow the prompts.
  • A yellow triangle will appear in your Student Center after you accept your provisional offer of admission.  Although you can ignore the triangle, you must pay close attention to items on your To Do List. Follow this link to discover more about checking your Admission Status.

4.Choose your mandatory Advising & Registration session by the extended deadline of June 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (for all non-impacted majors).

Transfers admitted into the Nursing program will need to complete this step by the extended deadline of May 15, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. After accepting your provisional admission, you will be prompted to register for your Advising and Registration session. If you have logged off, please use this link to register. For more information about New Student Registration, visit go.csuci.edu/NewStudentReg.

5. Choose your mandatory Orientation session by the extended deadline of June 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (for all non-impacted majors).

Transfers admitted into the Nursing program will need to complete this step by the extended deadline of May 15, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. After registering for your Advising and Registration session, go back to the New Student Onboarding dashboard to register for Orientation. For more information about Orientation, visit go.csuci.edu/NSO. Please contact orientation@csuci.edu if you have any questions.

6. Pay the Non-Refundable Orientation Fee by the extended deadline of June 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (for all non-impacted majors).

Transfers admitted into the Nursing program will need to complete this step by the extended deadline of May 15, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. After registering for an orientation session, you will be prompted to pay the non-refundable orientation fee. It is highly recommended that you pay the orientation fee before logging out. If you log out prior to submitting payment, you will need to use the payment link embedded in your myCI Student Center. To get there, log on to myCI and click on “CI Records” under “My Links.” For detailed instructions, visit this link

IMPORTANT: Be sure to enter your preferred email address. You will receive an email confirmation if your payment was successfully received. If you do not receive an email, then your payment was not received. Save a copy of your confirmation email as it may be necessary to prove payment.

Can I defer payment of the orientation fee until my financial aid award is disbursed? This depends, as NOT ALL STUDENTS WILL QUALIFY. You will be considered for a deferment if you file a 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act application on or before the extended priority deadline of May 2, 2024 deadline AND meet the criteria.

To learn if you have a deferment, check the “Holds” section of your Student Center (visible in the upper-right corner of your portal):

  • If you see “FA Orientation Deferral” noted in the “Holds” section of your Student Center, then payment of the orientation fee will be charged to your first semester’s account. In other words, your fee will be deferred (but not waived).
  • However, if you do not see “FA Orientation Deferral,” then you must pay the orientation fee by the above deadline, or our offer of provisional admission will be withdrawn.
  • Contact orientation@csuci.edu if you have any questions about the fee.

Is the orientation fee refundable? Once paid, the orientation fee is non-refundable and may not be applied to a future term. This means you will NOT receive a refund even if (a) you request to have our offer of admission (provisional or final) withdrawn at a later date or you choose not to enroll; (b) our offer of provisional admission is withdrawn because you failed to meet an admission or enrollment requirement or deadline, including the transcript deadline; or (c) our offer of provisional admission is rescinded after reviewing your final transcript(s).

7. Submit preliminary official transcript(s) and/or AP/IB test scores.

For a successful registration experience, your preliminary official college transcript(s) and/or AP/IB test scores must be received by CSUCI 2-3 weeks before your scheduled Advising & Registration session. We want to ensure you do not register for courses you might meet transfer credit for and that your transfer credit is posted to your record to meet prerequisites. This will be helpful when registering for classes.

Official mailed transcripts must be sent as a hard copy in a sealed envelope, mailed to our Admissions department. These documents must be sent to the address below:

CSU Channel Islands
ATTN: Admissions - Sage Hall
One University Drive
Camarillo, CA 93012

You may also hand-deliver your transcripts to the CSUCI Admissions Office provided they remain in the same sealed envelope provided by your registrar. Check our Admissions office hours before visiting campus. Official electronic transcripts may be sent if they come directly from your school. If your school's transcript ordering system asks for a recipient name and email, please indicate CSU Channel Islands and admissions@csuci.edu. We will not accept transcripts emailed to our Admissions office from sources other than your school. Please do NOT fax transcripts.

8. Submit Final Official Transcripts/AP Test Scores by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024

Please check your To-Do list in myCI to check if you are missing transcripts. To receive final clearance to attend CSU Channel Islands in the fall, you must arrange to have your official final transcripts (with all grades posted) and any AP scores sent directly to the Admissions Office. Official mailed transcripts must be sent as a hard copy in a sealed envelope, mailed to our Admissions department. These documents must be sent to the address below and received no later than July 15, 2024:

CSU Channel Islands
ATTN: Admissions - Sage Hall
One University Drive
Camarillo, CA 93012

You may also hand-deliver your transcripts to the CSUCI Admissions Office provided they remain in the same sealed envelope provided by your registrar. Check our Admissions office hours before visiting campus. Official electronic transcripts may be sent if they come directly from your high school. If your school's transcript ordering system asks for a recipient name and email, please indicate CSU Channel Islands and admissions@csuci.edu. We will not accept transcripts emailed to our Admissions office from sources other than your school. Please do NOT fax transcripts.

If you took Advanced Placement (AP) exams in high school, you must request that your official scores be sent to us directly from the College Board by this deadline (unless you have already done so). Request scores at least 6-8 weeks in advance.

Note: If you have taken coursework from an institution outside of the United States, your transcript must be evaluated by a credentials evaluation service, such as International Education Research Foundation IERFF) at www.ierf.org. Request your official report at least 6-8 weeks in advance of the transcript deadline. A detailed report with course level identification is required.

This may result in you being charged non-resident tuition for Fall 2024. State residency determines the admissions criteria and fee structure for all applicants.
