Part of the California State University-wide initiative of the Global HSI Equity Innovation Hub, Channel Your Potential supports projects that inspire the next generation of creators and innovators to pursue high-demand careers in science, technology, engineering and math in the creative and tech industries. Grant funding for Channel Your Potential totals $136,989.
Through mentorship from CSUCI faculty and alumni, this program aims to give first-generation students mastery and confidence as they move from college to the workplace. Students gain skills necessary to thrive in the workplace, including critical thinking, communication and problem solving. These students also bring their cultural knowledge to the workplace, which benefits the growing diverse workforce of the future.
Channel Your Potential has three projects:

- A First Generation Professional Podcast Series
- HSI Culturally Responsive Events
