Jeff T. Green Family Foundation Scholarship

The Jeff T. Green Family Foundation Scholarship is an excellent scholarship opportunity offered at CSU Channel Islands (CSUCI). For 2024-2025, there are 200 scholarships available for first-time freshmen in the amount of $20,000 (spread over 4 years, pending completion of ongoing eligibility requirements).

Eligibility Criteria to Apply

  • Must be a first-time freshman admitted to CSUCI for Fall 2024
  • Must have earned a 2.50-3.25 cumulative GPA in high school
  • Must be a first-generation student (neither parent has earned a baccalaureate degree)
  • Must plan to participate in a CSUCI Learning Community
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, or a Permanent Resident, or an AB 540 eligible student
  • Must file a 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or a 2024-2025 California Dream Act Application (CADAA)
  • Must have financial need (based on the FAFSA or CADAA)

Scholarship Application

  1. The application will open on January 1, 2024.
  2. Complete an online scholarship application. Students must log in through their myCI portal. Under "Services", click on the "CI Scholarships" link to apply.
  3. Select the Jeff T. Green Scholarship and answer the supplemental questions.
    • The application includes a brief essay question.
    • If you need help with the essay portion of the application, schedule a complementary, personal appointment to meet with a writing tutor.
  4. Complete all steps by the deadline.

The Deadline is May 1, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. (PDT); please note that students are encouraged to apply by the Priority Deadline of April 2, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (PDT).
