To accommodate the increasing demand for on-campus housing for students, construction of Santa Rosa Village is underway at the intersection of Ventura Street and Santa Paula Street. Sundt Construction, Inc. is the design-builder of this new 120,000ft2, 4-story building will house approximately 600 additional students. Rooms will be arranged in 40-person pods and each pod will contain a resident advisor room, toilet and shower facilities, a family room with kitchenette, and support spaces. The complex will include a lobby, mail room, administrative offices, communal kitchen, laundry, and a living room. Demolition for this project began in early October of 2014 and is scheduled to be ready for occupancy in the Fall of 2016.
