At CSUCI, we prioritize the health and vitality of our native trees and plants, which is why we’ve been awarded Tree Campus USA Recognition each year since 2012. This means that CSUCI has met the Arbor Day Foundation’s 5 guidelines to establish and sustain healthy trees. To continuously achieve this recognition, CSUCI plants trees around campus and closely monitors the health of the campus tree canopy. Annual Tree Plantings
Every year CSUCI welcomes at least one new tree to the campus. Tree plantings typically are planned for October and April, to coincide with Clean Air Day and Arbor Day. Tree plantings are usually open to the campus community to participate. To see any upcoming tree planting events, please visit the events page.
CSUCI’s Tree Inventory
