University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) is a state university college established in October 2015 by merging the former Telemark University College and Buskerud and Vestfold University College. USN has a total of nine different campuses located across Norway and is one of the largest institutions of higher education in the country.

Students must take the course plan structured by USN within their area of study. Students may not have the option to take courses across course plans.

  • Academic Year: Mid August to mid June
    • Deadline to Apply: February 15
  • Fall Semester: Mid August to mid December

  • Spring Semester: Early January to mid June

Eligibility

  • Junior or senior standing while abroad.
  • Current CSUCI student in good academic standing at time of application.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
  • At time of application, students must have completed or be enrolled in 30 units within their designated area of study:
    • For example, for the Business Administration program, students must have complete at least 30 units within a relevant field of study (business administration, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, or related field).
  • No Norwegian language skills are required, although students are encouraged to take a Norwegian language class abroad.

To Apply

Students must complete a CSUCI Exchange Application first. If selected as a nominee, students will then be directed to complete USN's exchange application.

Housing

Students admitted as exchange students through USN are guaranteed student accommodation for one semester. Students will be responsible for final booking directly through SSN. For more information about accommodation, visit https://www.ssn.no/housing/bo/

Location

Campus Bø is located in Telemark County, about 90 miles east of Oslo. In the northern corner of the world, students can combine their studies with exciting outdoor activities, both in the winter and summer. Students can see the Northern Lights, experience the midnight sun, fjords, and mountains. One can go skiing, water rafting, and climbing, or simply enjoy the clean, fresh air and vast open spaces.
