Experiment with AI tools

June 13, 2023 - Teaching and Learning Innovations launched a Summer Residency in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools on June 6.
The residencies, which will run through Aug. 25, will provide opportunities to experiment
with emerging machine learning/natural language processing tools and discuss around
how they can be applied the complex jobs of a college campus. For example, the first
conversation focused on how to use AI with documents, such as meeting notes, articles,
and PDFs.
There are two distinguished residents. Jerilee Petralba, Digital Analyst and Customer
Relationship Management Administrator for Extended University, is serving as the AI
Staff-in-Residence, and Dan Lenz, Environmental Science & Resource Management Lecturer
and Writing & Multiliteracy Center Associate Director, is the AI Faculty-in-Residence.
The residents will present demonstrations, provide progress reports and contribute
blog posts to tlinnovations.cikeys.com. The residency promotes intellectual exploration, active engagement and collaboration
