March 12, 2024 - ITS is pleased to announce the reintroduction of its customer support space as the ITS Help Desk, effective March 25, 2024. This change reflects the department's commitment to providing accessible and user-friendly support services to the university community.

The ITS Help Desk, formerly known as the Solution Center, has undergone this renaming to better align with its core mission of offering technical assistance and support to students, faculty, and staff. The term "Help Desk" carries a strong association with reliability and assistance, emphasizing the department's dedication to providing prompt and effective solutions to IT-related issues.

While the physical space’s name will change to ITS Help Desk, the Solution Center will continue in our offering of many services alongside those of our direct IT support services.

To celebrate this transition and showcase the newly remodeled Help Desk location, the university cordially invites all members of the community to the grand opening event on March 25, at 9 a.m. The remodeled Help Desk is located in Broome Library Room 1350. Light refreshments will be served, providing an opportunity for attendees to mingle with IT staff and learn more about the services offered.

"We are excited to reintroduce the Help Desk to the university community," said Chris Murphy, Manager of User Services. "This renaming reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional support services while maintaining a user-friendly and accessible environment. We look forward to welcoming everyone to our newly remodeled location and continuing to provide reliable assistance for all IT-related needs."

The grand opening event promises to be an informative and enjoyable experience for all attendees. Whether seeking assistance with technical issues, learning more about available resources, or simply stopping by to say hello, the Help Desk team is eager to connect with members of the university community.
