All incoming students are highly encouraged to register for at least one Navigate CSUCI session. Navigate CSUCI sessions will provide students an opportunity to learn more about specific programs and services, as well as, crucial information to smoothly transition to CSUCI this fall. These offerings will take place in July. Sessions will be an hour in length, with a 45-minute presentation and 15 minute Q & A. Please see schedule below. Navigate CSUCI: Study Abroad Through CSUCI7/10/2023, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.Join us to learn about the opportunities to study abroad through CSUCI! With study abroad programs in 20 countries around the world, there is something for everyone. Students abroad take courses for CSUCI credit, all while paying the same tuition abroad as they would here at CSUCI. Learn a new language, develop your intercultural competence, gain valuable career skills, travel the world, experience independence, make friends of a lifetime, and come home a more confident global citizen. It’s never too early to start planning for study abroad!

Navigate CSUCI: Parking and Transportation at CSUCI7/11/2023, 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.Whether you live on-campus or are a commuter student, get the guidance you need in order to bring your vehicle to campus with ease. You will also learn about the alternative transportation programs we offer to help you get to CSUCI if you do not have access to a vehicle or simply do not want to bring it to campus.
Navigate CSUCI: Breaking Down Loans7/12/2023, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.Interested in learning more about student loans – this is the session! We will cover details about the Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loan programs including interest rates, repayment options, tools and resources as well as how to active your loans for the 20/21 aid year. We will also cover Parent PLUS Loans, how to apply, and next steps.

During this session you will learn important information regarding the differences and similarities between community college and CSUCI Disability Accommodations & Support Services (DASS), how to access DASS on-line Services and learn how DASS team members share responsibility with our students to create an accessible learning experience.

Academic Success Tips From Experienced Tutors in the Writing and Multiliteracy Center and the Learning Resource Center7/13/2023, 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.Learn how to succeed from students who excel in their academic areas! During this session, students will meet with fellow students who are also tutors at the Writing & Multiliteracy Center(WMC) and the Learning Resources Center (LRC). Peer tutors will share their experiences as students and tutors, as well as survival tips. There will be opportunities for break out discussions to answer questions relevant to major/academic areas or writing/communication.

Navigate CSUCI: How Student Business Services Serves You7/18/2023, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This topic will help give students a better understanding of resources and assistance that Student Business Services provides to students and the CI community. This presentation provides information regarding the tuition fee schedule, payment deadline, payment options, how to view account balances, and information regarding the Dolphin ID Card.

Navigate CSUCI: Campus Recreation7/19/2023, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.Campus Recreation supports students by providing recreation; equipment, and services to enrolled students. Join our session to learn more about our recreation facilities, fields, programs, and how to participate. We will cover Intramural Sports, Group/Personal Fitness opportunities, Sports Clubs, Outdoor Adventures, and the Channel Islands Boating Center.
