What makes an official transcript OFFICIAL

For a transcript to be considered official, it must:

  • Remain sealed in its original sealed envelope
  • Be printed on security transcript paper
  • Carry the signature of the university registrar and university seal
  • Electronic transcripts are considered official if they are submitted directly to CSUCI from a digital credential service. Previously downloaded copies are considered unofficial.

What is included on an official transcript

A copy of your transcript includes:

  • Degree(s) awarded, major and minor, and certificates of study
  • Transfer credit from other institutions accepted by CI. Only the total number of unit accepted is indicated. Transcripts of transfer credits must be requested directly from the institution that awarded the credit.
  • All courses taken and attempted at CI and grade awarded
  • Student academic standing
  • GPA for each term and institute totals
