California State University Channel Islands offers a program which allows California residents, sixty (60) years of age or older, to enroll regular session undergraduate level courses without payment of certain specified fees.  All regular admission requirements must be met.  The program is required to adhere to the following standards:

  • Enrollment shall be limited to persons who are California residents as defined by the Education code, are sixty (60) years of age or older, and are eligible for admission to the University.
  • Persons enrolling in the program will be able to register using the myCI on-line registration system.  However, because students in this program pay a reduced fee, their registration will occur after all other student groups.

  • The Over 60 program fee waiver does not apply to 2nd Bachelors Degree, Extended University courses, Open University courses, Credential programs or Graduate programs.
  • California residents turning sixty (60) years of age during a semester that is already in session will not be eligible until the beginning of the following semester.
