The Writing and Multiliteracy Center (WMC) provides all CI undergraduate and graduate students with FREE online support services and programs that help them become more effective writers and communicators. WMC Peer Tutors help students at any stage of the composition process in any discipline for writing or speaking (such as slideshow presentations, poster design and pitches). Students are also welcome to bring in other types of non-academic or creative work such as podcasts and videos. In addition, our tutors support students using the WMC Multimedia Studio with a sound booth for audio recording, and a video camera to record group or individual presentations on slideshow or research posters.
Students can drop in for a 30 min tutorial session or ask for one-hour sessions for longer projects. They can also request for asynchronous feedback on papers and presentations through a simple form on our website. Asynchronous feedback is available for submission any time and any day during the academic semester!
Make an appointment and see WMC hours by visiting http://www.csuci.edu/wmc, or see us live either in our physical Center on the second floor of Broome Library. You can also see if a tutor is available in our Drop In Room during our hours. Hear a tutor talk about our Center's services and why you should visit.
