What it is 

WMC'S Talent Show and Open Mic offers students an opportunity to show off their talent, share their art (in what-ever modality they prefer), or just enjoy the company of their peers in a fun, supportive environment where creative expression and storytelling is celebrated. We have two segments: Talent Show - for those who want to perform for giveaways provided by judges, and the Open Mic - for those who want to share.

Performers and attendees - register!

• Peformance slots in the Student Union are limited.  Register for a chance to get a spot!
• Registrants get access to Open Mic PhotoBooth Stickers - Take a picture by yourself or with friends & get a sticker memento to mark the occasion! 

Performing for Giveaways in the Talent Show (5:00-7:00pm)

• Performances are judged in three categories:
  Physical Talent (like dance),
  Spoken Word/Improv, and
  Musical Talent (singing, musical instrument)
• Performers can in groups no larger than five
• Performers must be CSUCI students
• Performances cannot be longer than 4 minutes
• Performers can select as many categories as they wish (survey), but will be placed in only one category for the event
• On October 22, a lottery will be drawn for placement in the talent show and order of performance.  

Performing Just for Fun in Open Mic (7:00-8:00pm)

• Register for a guaranteed spot or show up!

Winners Announced and Giveaways Distributed (8:00-8:30pm)

Giveaways for the Talent Show

• Best in Show: $200 gift card (split amongst winning performers in the act)
• Best in Category - Physical Talent: $100 gift card (split amongst winning performers)
• Best in Category - Spoken Word: $100 gift card (split amongst winning performers)
• Best in Category - Musical Talent: $100 gift card (split amongst winning performers)
