Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC)

SHAC serves in an advisory capacity to the Student Health and Counseling Center. In that role, SHAC helps identify student health needs, which in turn, allow the committee to make recommendations regarding the scope and delivery of services. In addition, SHAC will make direct proposals to the Vice President for Student Affairs on the adjustments to the Student Health Services fee and the Health Facility fee.

Constituency

The Constituency of SHAC includes:

• Students must make up the majority of the committee.
• Must include a representative from the Student Health Center.
• May involve faculty, administrative, and staff members.

Membership

Committee members can vary per semester.

Meeting Schedule

SHAC will meet once per academic year during the Spring semester. Dates and locations will vary.

Agendas and Minutes

Meeting Agendas are posted on the website at least five working business days prior to the meeting. Draft minutes are reviewed and approved during the next scheduled meeting, then posted on the website.
