As part of CSUCI’s Zoom Cloud Storage management strategy, Zoom cloud recordings that are more than 1 year old will be deleted on an annual basis during Summer. Notifications will be sent out to all Zoom users both 30 days prior to deletion and 7 days prior to deletion. Once the recordings are deleted, they will be retrievable from the Trash for 30 days. After that 30 day period, the recordings will be permanently deleted and cannot be restored.

What Do I Need to Do?

We highly recommend taking a look at the cloud recording area in your Zoom account and reviewing what recordings you currently have. If there are recordings that you know that want to keep, you have several options for archiving them.

The primary recommendation is to download the recordings and back them up within OneDrive. For those who are unfamiliar, OneDrive is a cloud storage service that allows for easy sharing and collaborating that is available to all faculty and staff at CSUCI, and is accessible from within myCI. More information about OneDrive is available on the Information Technology Services (ITS) website.

Aside from OneDrive, there are other options for archiving any recordings that you want to keep:
