Ekhobot is an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot that uses a knowledge base of information to answer your questions about CSUCI. Just like your other AI friends Alexa and Siri, Ekhobot loves to help and can answer your questions 24/7! Ekhobot will also send you messages throughout the school year about upcoming dates, announcements, campus services, and just to make sure you’re doing okay.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Ekhobot knows a lot about CSUCI, but no chatbot is perfect. If Ekhobot doesn't know an answer, a real human will read your question and get you an answer within 24 hours.

  • Yes! Ekhobot is intended to be helpful. If you don’t want to receive messages from Ekhobot, you can text #pause at any time.

  • Of course! Ekhobot is happy to help! If you saved Ekhobot's contact info in your phone, just text "unpause" to that number to begin engaging with Ekhobot again and receiving messages. Or you can send an email to ekhobot@csuci.edu letting Ekhobot know you'd like to opt back in.

  • If you’d like to chat with Ekhobot, you need to have a cell phone number listed in your CI Records Student Center. Here's how to check that you have one listed or update it:

    • Log into your CI Records Student Center via myCI.
    • Scroll down to the Personal Information section. Use the drop down menu to find Phone Numbers.
    • Make sure your phone numbers are up to date. Label your cell phone number as Mobile, and check it as Preferred.
