This page will explain Learning Design’s facilitated and untethered (self-paced) pathways through which you can level up the digital side of your course. Whether you are seeking to reimagine an existing course, preparing a new course, or looking for something new to use in your next class session, Learning Design seeks to support student academic success by providing resources and programs that support you in making intentional teaching moves - whether big or small.

Partners in Online and Blended Course Development

Are you currently teaching an online or blended course? Or are you interested in reimagining your in-person course or emergency remote course (ERC) developed in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic as intentionally designed online or blended courses? Learning Design is here to both partner with and support you in the design and development of inclusive and engaging online and virtual learning experiences.

While we have resources to support those teaching courses that meet synchronously online via Zoom (or similar) or on campus in-person, we prioritize support for those teaching online and/or blended courses.

Partners in Untethered Self-Determined Learning

What is self-determined learning? In a word, Heutagogy. Kenyon & Hase (2000) introduced heutagogy as a learning theory that extends beyond Knowles (1972) andragogy, which is typically considered self-directed or adult learning theory
