Welcome to California State University Channel Islands
California State University Channel Islands (CI) is an ideal institution for international students. It is friendly, safe, peaceful and diverse. CI students come from across California, the United States and the world.
CI is known for offering a creative, interdisciplinary approach to learning. For example, you may have a class that combines art with science or history with business so that you gain a broader and deeper perspective. Our programs also incorporate multicultural and international views. This approach prepares you to live and work in an increasingly diverse world.
CI is located inland in the city of Camarillo (population 65,895), midway between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. CI is 25 miles/40 km northwest of Malibu and about 10 miles/16 km from the Pacific Ocean.
