The Graduate Studies Center (GSC) is dedicated to providing academic, professional and personal support services for post baccalaureate students at CI. Our services aim to facilitate access to post baccalaureate programs, to promote student success and program completion, and to foster professional, personal, and workforce development.

March 28 (11:00 a.m. & 5:30 p.m.) - Maintaining a Healthy Balance Among Multiple Life Roles: Students will learn how to balance multiple life roles and discover tools & resources necessary to help promote self-care and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

March 30 (1:00 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.) - Do's and Don'ts for Applying to Graduate School: Thinking about applying to graduate school? Learn about the application process, timelines for getting started on personal statement, letters of recommendation, test preparation and more. Learn about the services available to you through the Graduate Studies Center.

March 30 (4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m.) - Critical Skimming Workshop: Not sure your reading speed and critical approach are strong enough for graduate school? Finding yourself overwhelmed by the reading load and falling behind? This workshop can help! In it you will learn some of the critical reading strategies and best practices successful graduate students employ to manage their load, organize their learning, and scaffold their research.

April 4 (9:30 a.m. & 4:00 p.m.) - Graduate School vs. Full-Time Work: This workshop is designed to help students consider the benefits and limitations of attending graduate school versus working full-time post-graduation. Learn how to analyze your options and prepare for life post-graduation.

April 13 (12:15 p.m. & 6:00 p.m.) - Preparing the Resume or CV for Graduate School: Need help writing a great resume to use for applying to graduate school? This workshop will help you build a solid and effective resume or CV.
