In Fall 2011, CSU Channel Islands will be upgrading the current campus release of CI Records (Oracle/PeopleSoft; CMS) to application release 9.0.  This upgrade is part of an ongoing effort to ensure the campus keeps pace with the technology of our Student and Administrative Information Systems, and meet the changing needs of our CSU students, faculty and staff.

When will the upgrade take place?

The Application Upgrade will start October 13, 2011 at 12:00 Noon and go through 8:00 AM October 21, 2011.

What is the impact of the upgrade to the campus?

Once the upgrade process begins on October 13, 2011 at 12:00 Noon, CI Records will not be available to the campus until the upgrade has been completed, and the results verified by each application area.

How will I be affected?

Students and faculty will be unable to access their Self Service pages in CI Records.  Additionally, staff who utilizes CI Records for their day-to-day work will also be unable to access CI Records.

Are there alternative work options available?

Since the application system itself will be unavailable, access from any location will not be available.

What are the benefits to Channel Islands?

The Application Upgrade is part of an ongoing effort to maintain campus baseline Student and Administrative Information Systems across the CSU.

Here are some of the benefits for Channel Islands:

  • Channel Islands is upgrading to the latest version of the application software which will better support our students, faculty and staff.
  • Channel Islands will be in position for the next phase of systems consolidation as part of the Consolidated HR System (CHRS) project.
