Disability-Related Accommodations for Commencement

Graduate Candidates: 

Graduates who require disability-related accommodations to fully participate in Commencement should complete the form: Commencement Student Accommodations Form. 

Requests should be submitted as early as possible and no later than two weeks prior to the ceremony. While we will make every effort to accommodate late requests, we may be unable to fulfill them without sufficient preparation time.

Please note: Some accommodation requests may require attendance at the Commencement Rehearsal.

Guest Accommodations: 

Accessible Seating

An ADA-designated seating area (marked with flags) will be available for guests requesting wheelchair access.

  • Up to two (2) support persons may accompany each guest with a disability.
  • No RSVP or check-in is required.
  • Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services

Ceremony screens will include:

  • Closed Captioning 
  • A picture-in-picture display of the ASL interpreter
