CI Statement of Nondiscrimination and Disability Services Information

CSUCI strives to promote inclusive excellence across all aspects of the University. CSU policy prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy, age, disability, medical condition, and covered veteran status. CSU policy also prohibits retaliation for filing a discrimination complaint, opposing a discriminatory act, or participating in a discrimination investigation or proceeding. For more information see the CSUCI Statement on Non-Discrimination.  Incidents of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation should be reported to the Title IX and Inclusion office at titleix@csuci.edu.

CSUCI practices equal opportunity in admission to, access to, and operation of instruction, programs, services, and activities.

Questions, concerns, complaints, and requests for reasonable accommodation or additional information may be forwarded to Disability Accommodations and Support Services (DASS) at 805-437-3331.

DASS General Service Policy

Disability Accommodations and Support Services (DASS) supports academic and educational access for students with verified disabilities. Students with a verified disability have the right to participate in the accommodation services provided by DASS.

All students choosing to register for services with DASS are required to abide by all DASS policies and procedures. New incoming CSUCI students requesting accommodation must schedule a new student appointment with a DASS counselor prior to the beginning of the semester so that arrangements can be made to meet individual needs. All students requiring accommodation must self-identify their need to DASS every semester, and present appropriate written documentation of a disability.

The decision of a student not to self-identify does not constitute a permanent renouncement of the right to University-administered accommodations. However, if a student chooses not to self-identify and/or request an accommodation, the University does not assume responsibility for any disability-related problem(s) that may arise.
