Inserting Links and Uploading Documents Using the WYSIWYG Editor
Highlight the text you want to turn into a link
Click the "Insert/edit link" button on the toolbar
If you're linking to a website, simply enter the URL in the "Link URL" field.
If you're linking to a CI webpage:
Click the Browse icon next to the "Link URL" field
Navigate to the directory containing the page you want to link to
Click the file you want to link to, then click the "Select File" button
Select the desired target (i.e.: new window, etc.) for your link
Click "Insert"
Uploading/ Linking to Documents Using the WYSIWYG Editor
To upload/link to a document, highlight the text you want to turn into a link
Click the "Insert/edit link" icon
Click the Browse icon next to the "Link URL" field
Navigate to the directory where you want to upload your document
If the document has already been uploaded, simply navigate to the directory where the document is located and skip to step 11
Click the "Upload" button
Click "Browse..."
Locate and select the document you want to upload, then click "Open"
If your file has any invalid characters in the name, (only lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens are allowed) enter a new name in the "New File Name" field including the file type extension (i.e.: .pdf, .doc, etc.) Otherwise, you'll receive an error upon trying to upload your document.
Click "Upload"
You'll receive a success message once the file has been uploaded
Click the file you want to link to, then click the "Select File" button
Click "Insert"
Next, click the "Add predefined snippet content" icon on the toolbar
Choose "Accessibility" from the Category drop-down menu
Choose the snippet that correlates with the type of document you've uploaded/linked to (i.e.: PDF, xxKB, etc.)
Click "Insert"
Lastly, change the "xxKB" text to reflect the size of the document you're linking to
